Resurrecting Faith

As a consummate lover of language, I have been made to concede that sometimes even the most persuasive of words fall on deaf, indifferent ears.
As a believer in the virtue of humanity, I have been confronted with gross injustice and extreme apathy.
As a supporter of human agency and its perfect ability to transform, I have been witness to talent and pure arts being wasted away to addictions.
There is so much in this world, tempting us to behold it and lose hope, to fall from grace, to give up on society as a petulant mob, an untamable beast, a lost cause.
But if there is one thing I know for sure, it is this: we are programmed kind, socialized beastly. There is no armor for a man’s conscience.
Give it a shot. Aim there.
